1 〔是非〕 right or wrong; justice.

●当否はさておき rightly or wrongly; setting aside the question whether 《the view》 is right or wrong.

2 〔適否〕 propriety; appropriateness; fitness; suitability.

●措置の当否 propriety [suitability] of a measure

・人選の当否 the appropriateness [suitability] of a personnel decision.
